Birmingham split a doubleheader losing the (edit) second game at Mobile 9-2. CYoung 1-3 with a homer. Owens 0-2 with a walk and his 34th sb. Malone started and got bombed 3IP 3H 6R 6ER 5bb 3K.

The Barons (edit) won the first game 6-4. Huge games for Owens and CYoung. Owens 3-4, triple, rbi, 2 runs scored (.343). CYoung 4-4, 2 homers, 2 sb, 3 runs scored, 2 rbi (.281). Tracey was unspectacular in winning 6IP 6H 4R 4ER 3bb 3K.

Charlotte lost to Durham on an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth 5-4. LTP was 2-4 with a homer and 2 rbi.

W-S beat Salem 9-3. Hall 2-4, Daigle 3-5, Collaro 2-5. Schnurstein went 1-5 but it was a big double, he drove in 3. Broadway was decent but not spectacular 5IP 9H 2R 2ER 3bb 4SO.

Kanny crushed West Virginia 9-2. Russell pitched well and got the win 7IP 3H 0R 0ER 0bb 4K. McCarthy 2-3 with a double and 4 rbi. Brice was 2-4. It appears he's back to hitting full time. Aaron Cunningham pinch hit. I believe that is his Sally debut.

Cunningham's former team, the Bristol Sox, could have used him. They lost 2-1 to Princeton. Viola pitched very well 8IP 4H 0R 0ER 2bb 8K. But the bullpen gave up two in the top of the ninth.

Great Falls lost 6-4 to Orem.

CYoung 1-3 with a homer.
CYoung 4-4, 2 homers, 2 sb, 3 runs scored, 2 rbi (.281). Griffey is hot right now for the Reds and they say his value is going up everyday.... but how about Young? The man is on fire! Talk about skyrocketing value...
