I caught the end of a Little League World Series game on ESPN and a kid from the Vista, California team struck out 18 guys! Every out was a strikeout! He was hitting 70-75 which is equivalent to 95-100 in MLB. Wow. He still gave up a few hits and a couple of runs, but he tied the all time record with a kid from Taiwan in 1979.

Anyone see the team from Florida that's managed by Dante Bichette and Mike Stanley? I have a feeling this will be the feel-good story of this year's LLWS :D:

Danny Almonte, anyone?
I wanted to grab the kid's cap and put a roll in the brim.

As Mitch Hedberg once said:
I wish I could play little league now. I'd be way better than before.

Personally, I'm cheering for the Hawaii team.

Those kids can play. Not to hijack the thread or anything, but i got my money on Curacao to win it again.

I am going for the Hawaii team. They straight up mash the ball. That one kid needs to cut his hair though.

No wonder the kid got 18 K's.....the other team had Sammy Sosa, Jose Hernandez, Rob Deer and Joe Borchard in their line up.

Didn't some girl pitch a perfect game in little league a few months ago, where she struck out all 18?

Most of the Hawaii kids probably listed the Cubs as their favorite team.

Ask Jeff Burroughs and his son, Sean. It's possible.
I haven't been able to see any of it.
Does the manager of the Hawaiian team look like Dog the Bounty Hunter?

Definitely! Duane "Dog" Chapmann!!
Fat kids in little league rule!
The kid that struck out 18 has sideburns and a goatee. You really think he's only 12?

Yeah seriously, hes got acne, long hair, doesn't bend his brim so more than likely hes in the Oakland A's system.

He drove The Weasel on and off the field. It was a dead give-away he wasn't 12.
