p.s. i need to know ASAP becuase im going to tonight's game! The Burlington Northern goes to Union Station. Best bet is to walk from there to State Street (about half a mile) and get on the Red Line to USCF.

I know there is a Metra line that runs a little south of Odgen. I've worked by Lyons Township, and crossed it many times. Not sure where the exact stop is, but it's not too far from Odgen & Braindard.

The Burlington Northern Line of the Metra will take you to Union Station. From there you'll need to walk/cab it a few blocks East to State St. and hop on the Red Line (EL) South to Sox-35th.

Buy your ticket at the window (if open) before you get on the train. Metra will charge you an extra two bucks if you buy the ticket on the train when the window was open. If you're coming down in the afternoon, the Western Springs ticket window will likely be closed...but you should get your ticket for the return trip downtown as soon as you get off the train.

Make sure you hit Oberweiss and "Comics Galore" in downtown Western Springs before you board the train :D:

During the week, just buy the two one-way tickets at the same time (inbound to Chicago). It especially helps if you're cutting it close and you won't have to worry about buying the return ticket at Union Station or coughing up the $2.00 fee from the conductor on the way home. For future reference, If you're out there on the weekend, buy the $5.00 weekend pass. The station should be closed, but you can buy it from the conductor. It's good for both Saturdays and Sundays.
