So we have a hefty, hard-throwing rookie from Idaho on the mound and we don't have a nickname for him yet? I just thought we could take suggestions for a nickname for our next generation closer.
I like Spud.

Ya know, Spud is actually pretty good! Not only does it reference his Idaho origin, but he's kinda lumpy too.

That's funny, I like that one. However, it's too long for a nickname. I'm all for Spud, it makes sense. Spud Jenks, sounds good.

Spud gets my vote. It's short but clever. I like it.
Have any of you read Sideways by Rex Pickett? First time I saw Bobby Jenks, he reminded me of the boar hunter that trys to gun down Jack and Miles. That coupled w/ Jenks' checkered past sealed the deal for me. Ever since then I've been calling Jenks The Boar, Bobby the Boar, or Bobby Boar.

Maybe some of the older members can recall a kicker on the Bears '63 championship team, named Bob Jencks. Spelled a little differently, he was a rotten kicker.
