On 11/4/2004 White Sox were 22 to 1 to win A.L. and 50 to 1 to win series. I have the tickets to prove it! I'm sure you are all rooting for me!

I made a 10 dollar bet in spring training when they were 20/1. I'm lookin' pretty good now..

God, do I wish I place a bet when we were discussing this earlier in the offseason. IIRC, the Sox were 15-1 for the division and 60-1 for the World Series.

My 30-1 in mid-Feb 2005 is looking pretty good as well. Okay, it's just icing on the cake. But, pretty sweet icing it will be!

I put ten on them to win the WS at 40-1.

I keep the ticket in my wallet.

On st pats day when i flew back from vegas and march madness began, sox were 16 to 1 favor for the alcs and 24 to 1 for the ws, i got in on the safer bet for the alcs

This was during the time when prior and wood went out in spring training and somehow this and massive offensive losses, cubs were 4 to 1 favors to win the world series over the yankees...how do the cubs get better odds than the defendin world champ redsox tho!?!?

But should sox win the alcs, mr hilton is payin me 400 :)

I got fleeced! My buddy was in vegas in June and I had him put a twin (ha) on a straight bet for the Sox to win it all and the best odds he found on June 22 were 5-1. It was from Harrah's for anybody curious. He said most places had them 2-1.

Odds change daily as the teams fortunes change. (Except for the FLUBS, who are always lower odds than the deserve.) Remember, money, not records, sets and changes to odds.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU AND ME TOO !!

I bet my roomate $20 that the Sox would win the series. He picked the Yankmees. Come the end of October, looks like I'm going to have some extra beer money!

Imagine if they opened up an ESPNZONE Casino/Sportsbook in Vegas...

The odds against the Sox would be about 1,000,000 to 1.
Either that or else there would be no mention of them on the board at all.

Last night, I was talking to my dad about the odds for the sox to win the ALCS and the World Series and how people who put money down in Late winter/early spring stand to make a pretty penny come october and he began to look slightly sheepish. I asked him what the problem was and he said that he was one of the lucky ones that put money down in February.

But he lost the tickets one week later and has yet to find them. oops!!!
