While Bruce Levine has proven to be the most unreliable and biggest joke of an insider in sports, He mentioned the cubs could become sellers in the next few weeks, and a guy like Jeromy Burnitz could be dealt to the Sox. He also mentioned Hollandsworth, but I really don't see that happening.

Was wondering what everyone thought about a scenario where the Sox got Burnitz. He could be some insurance and power to replace big franks role, and while I have never been much of a burnitz fan, he's a better option then Timo. If we were willing to pay for Griffey, then we could easily afford Burnitz, but do you think it is worth it, especially if the cost is only 1 or 2 B level prospects.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. We don't need table scraps/lost season unloading with the likes of that team. If you think the media bias is bad now, what would the headline be in Burnitz got dealt to the WS?

CUB NATION SAVES SOUTH SIDER SEASON
In a gesture of goodwill, extending the Cubs' humanitarian efforts, God-like GM James Hendry allowed Ken Williams, the disabled GM of the 2nd place attendance drawing Chicago White Sox to have Jeremy Burnitz, as the slave driving Sox look possibly at making their players work into cool and blustery October. Said Hendry, "Ken and I have talked...and due to his injury, I felt it the best interests of all Cub fans to forego our postseason chances just once to help the White Sox eek along. Everyone knows the Cubs wild card chances are tighter than a frog's rectum underwater, but it's a chance I'm willing to take". Burnitz, in a statement by Dusty Baker, said, "I wondered if I could bring the RF ivy with me, but since they copy everything from Wrigley, it wouldn't matter anyhow".

Bruce appears to be doing a little prospecting for Hendry. Why Burnitz? We already have Ross Gload waiting for a chance to do the same thing.

That stinking cub fan(bruce levine)can take his inside info and stick it.
I don't know why we have to have a cub fan on the White Sox post game show anyway.
Also,we tried very hard last year to get Burnitz to come and play on the southside and he would have no part of it.I say screw em.

Grinder Rule #1145

If your name is Jeromy Burnitz, then you are not a grinder!

Let's just bring Anderson up and see what he can do, rather than infect this team with players that we know can't do much.

Hollingsworth is one of the most useless ballplayers in the game. What exactly does he do out there? Burnitz has been chronically overrated. Two ball players the great Hendry brought in. These two are a prime reason why the cubs aren't very good - average ballplayers when you need good hitters.

Typical Bruce Levineline. He's more interested in trades that help the Cubs than what it does for the Sox. Maybe we should trade Aaron Rowand for Corey Patterson while we're at it.

While the Sox need another bat, there are also contending teams ahead of them in the waiver line who have the same need. It will be all but impossible for anyone the Sox want not to get claimed by one of those other teams. The Sox are going to have to get it done with the bats they have plus whatever they have in the minors. Get used to it.

It won't happen, but I wouldn't mind if it did because for some reason he is having a career year. He would love the dimensions here. I just don't see the Cubs just giving him to us, and I would think someone else would want Burnitz.

I rather have Manos and his 900 strikeouts a year back then Jeremy Burnitz.

I rather have Manos and his 900 strikeouts a year back then Jeremy Burnitz. Why, because he plays for the Cubs? Burnitz would be a lot more help than Timo Perez.

What does he do?

He looks sweet with his 70's porn mullet, that's what he does.
