can ya' get rid of the bad uniforms at the top of the home page?

too many bad sox uniform stories............

opening day 1976 I had a new girlfriend & a day off so I was at

her house in South Bend with a 12 pack of beer & boones farm

wine for her....we watched the game on tv....Bill Veeck marched

out with the fife & drum group to celebrate the bicentennial &

the sox unveiled the "new" turn back the clock uniforms. I loved

them!.............for 1 year........that was enough! when I found

myself sitting in Anaheim Stadium 5 years later watching the

Sox & halos I was emabarrassed to see those dregs & longed

for a tradtional Sox uniform...thank goodness we have the

uniforms that we have now...guess I am longing for the next

opening day...that old girlfriend, now long gone was pretty good

too

Wasn't that also the day that paul richards started Rich Gossage? And he pitched us to a win, guessing 4-2 v. royals maybe?
