I knew we had it after Burly set them down in order in the 2nd with the 3-0 lead.

It's simple.

Ugly, ugly, ugly. 4 hits? One an AJ surprise bunt?!? But in the end, only one thing matters...

Magic #40!!! That's how we've gotten to 71-38. Great pitching and defense, clutch hitting and speed. Yessss!!!!

Moyer pitched well but Buehrle pitched better. Konerko with another meaningless homerun. And once again Pods getting on base and causing trouble. Go get em tomorrow Jon.

What a different team this is when Pods is getting on base, no surprise, Buehrle was incredible . That play on the mound was spectacular. A great spark, let's get them tomorow!:bandance:

Cripes! Can we please--just once--have a laugher! So I will have a fingernail or two left! Is that too much to ask?

And is Ozzie amazing or what? Konerko on first, Pierzinski at bat, and A.J. BUNTS? Okay, Paulie got doubled off, but still...!

Anyway...:bandance: :bandance: :bandance: :bandance: :bandance: :bandance:

4 hits? You're complaining? That's White Sox baseball. I love this much more than watching them crush the ball with 10 hits and lose.

Oh, no, no complaining here. More like awe at the way this team seems to find a different way to win each time out. I love it!

I didn't think you were, but just the way I read it, I read "ugly, ugly, ugly" in a negative way. How could anyone complain after a victory like that?

There will always be the dark clouds to find a way. But I think I'm pretty well established as the antithesis of said dark clouds.

Every win is great, and I love watching Podsednik run wild and see Mark compete like few pitchers in recent memory. It is a glorious time to be a Sox fan.

GO SOX!

That was a vintage White Sox winner! The Sox jump out ahead and hold, hold, hold for the rest of the game. It's stressful, but that's exactly how they have seemed to win most of the year.

Scotty's running looked 200% better tonite than in his previous games. Let's hope that he can keep it going. That hit by Iguchi was the play of the game and he also played outstanding D. It's also nice seeing Aaron coming through with the knock in the three hole with a man on third, making Carl's absence not hurt as much. Let's go take the rubber match tomorrow.

I was at the game, and I'm just getting home now. Full house tonight, so I'm sure some of the other WSI regulars were in attendance as well.

Hits have been hard to come by for Podsednik lately, but he got on twice tonight with the error on Beltre and the walk. That was really the key to the game. Scott is such a disruptive player on the basepaths. Once he starts swinging the bat well again, our offense will look much, much better. The top four hitters in the lineup got it done tonight. We had only four hits, but Rowand, Konerko and Iguchi all made their hit count.

Buerhle: Solid as usual. I couldn't believe it when Hermanson walked Hanson in the ninth with Ichiro on deck. That was probably one of those situations where Dustin was thinking, "I don't want to walk this guy," and that's exactly what he did. Thankfully, he got Ichiro out. I hate it when that guy comes to the plate in clutch situations.

What a great game. I was able to break my 5 game losing streak with me in attendance.

Had to go to work today so I only caught the last couple innings...

Here's what I will say:

I don't care how many hits the Sox get.
I don't care how many runs they produce as long as its one more than the other team.
I don't care if Hermie walks the guy right before Ichiro.

All I care about is the W.

Today's type of game was what got us to the best record in baseball, and I have no complaints! I can tell you if this was a post-season game, no one would be complaining that we only had four hits!

On a side note, how can the spell check on this site NOT have the word "Sox" in the dictionary? For shame...
