How in the heck are they in first with a losing record. Man the NL West blows. Does anyone know if in the history of the game a team has been in first with a losing record before, espcially this late in the season.

Yeah, the AL West was terrible in 1994. The Rangers were in first with a losing record at the date of the strike.

The Historically significant Cubs were able to make the playoffs one year barely 4 or 5 games over .500 .......... if that helps.
