The Rocky Mountain News says the Tigers could put Dmitri Young on the waiver wire this month since the DH's option for $8 million in 2006 is about to kick in.
Hmmm... Here's his stats this year...
AB 356 HR 17 AVG .264 RBI 53

Now, if he's put on waivers, would Detroit still have the option of keeping him from going to another AL Central team, or does putting him out there just release him to anybody?

I'm pretty sure they have the right to pull him back.

I don't want him, regardless.

On the day of the deadline Will Carroll said the Sox were inquiring about Young.

He can't leave Detroit! How would he back up his claim that the Central is going to Detroit or Cleveland this season!

I was just going to say something about that, however, if he said the exact words "We are going to win the division" and he ends up on the Sox, then he'd be totally correct!
Also, he did say it was going to be between "us" and Cleveland right?

I would rather see Borchard called up than this no-talent ass clown!
