"He's a Crazy Man"

Congrats to Miguel on success with his new team.

Hope he gets things together now that he's out of Seattle.

Congrats...here's hoping he has a case of the David Ortiz-syndrome....to a much, much lesser extent.

I'm pretty certain Miguel will have a better day than Jimmy for the foreseeable future. I also predict jeremyb1 won't come here to crow about it more than half of those days either.

He hit a homer during his first game with the Sox too. I like Miggie and wish him well, but I don't think he projects as an offensive force. Stranger things have happened, though.

Yeah, same here. It was pretty cool watching him throw sometimes. However, I don't think he will pan out to be the player that people thought we would be. Best of luck to him though!

it didn't become obvious to me until after the trade, but Olivo was a 'tools' guy who didn't know how to actually play the game of baseball. we heard for so long about all that potential, but in the end, what did we get?

If I'm not mistaken, he also hit a HR in his last Sox AB, on the day of the trade. I was there, and it was against the Cubs. The Sox won the game to take 2 out of 3 at home. I'm pretty sure this is true unless he had another AB in that game after that.

EDIT: After checking WSI's archives, The HR was in the 2nd inning and he had one more At-Bat in which he reached on an error by Ramirez that scored 2 runs.

I'm waiting for jeremyb1 to come here and start posting his ridiculous stats about this.
