I've looked all over for this without much success...does anyone know, or have a link to the contract lengths of everyone on the 25 man roster? i.e. when Buerhle, Rowand, Garland, Pods...etc are signed through? Thanks in advance.

MLB4U.com has a good listing that includes service time for guys not eligible for FA soon.

There's also one in the "Trade Deadline Primer" article posted a week or 2 ago.

Konerko is a Free Agent
AJ is a Free Agent

I think Gar and Joe are arbitration eligible still. Gar is in line to make a kings ransom through arbitration.

A.J. is also eligible for arbitration, not FA

Got to keep AJ...but I have a feeling he won't come cheap this time around

I would guess AJ & Garland will eat up the savings from Big Frank's contract along with Everett, and or PK.

Anyone else notice very few players are under contract past the expiration of the current CBA?

JR probably envisions big changes in the next CBA. The NHL and NBA have seen significant gains for owners, so baseball owners will probably will be seeking some big consessions from players.

Any insight on how hard the sox are going to work at renewing Konerko's contract?

Hopefully, they do not work on it at all.

Yeah, even most of the ones who have contracts for 2007 are only team options. The Freddy signing was a big move because it gave them at least one guy guaranteed to be on the team when the new CBA gets approved.

What do you think Garland gets?

A long term deal. Same goes for AJ.

I think we'll be losing a draft pick on Paulie. I don't think we offer that contract extension, at least I hope not. I hope by the time next offseason rolls around we can make a pitch for Huff.

I also hope Lamar isn't asking the world for him either with only one year left inhis contract.

I don't have any insight, but I have a funny (I'm not so sure I'd go so far as to say sinking) feeling they're actually going to make an attempt to keep Konerko around.

BTW, Welcome to WSI.:welcome: Does this mean Brendan, Buzz, and Wendy can't be far behind?

Thanks for the kind welcome. Trust me..you don't want Brendan. He is one of them. Pat made me continue the booyah legacy. Sorry if it seems really lame. On a side note..I think we just need to work our pitching rotation around Freddy always being the day game pitcher...is that so much to ask?!?!?!

Yeah, he's from Iowa or something, right? (I added Buzz and Wendy when I read your dad was registered.) How about Matt? Is he a lurker here?

I think maybe we should all email Brooks Boyer and have him set up the schedule that way for 2006.

the family likes to make fun of me for lurking on a white sox message board, but as you can see they are all coming around. matt lurks occasionally under my name, but i'll get mattbooyah here soon. :redneck

Well that would be great. That way, the vast majority of people around here will still have somebody to blame for all the losses.

What is with all the hate for Konerko? Why would you not want the Sox to resign him?

He's slow, has little to no range at 1st base (I think, contrary to what the Cubune wants us to believe, Frank has 10 times the range Paulie does), he couldn't get a clutch hit to save his life, he is the complete opposite of Ozzie ball. I understand he's a 1B, but still, it's so frustrating to see him ground out to the shortstop whenever someone is in scoring position.
