Shame, shame, shame!

SAN FRANCISCO -- Barry Bonds (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=3918) doesn't expect to play this season because of his injured right knee, putting the San Francisco slugger's quest for the career home run record on hold until at least 2006.

If it was up to me, Barry's new strike zone would be from the tip of his chin to the bottom of his ankles, and as wide the chalk line on the opposite batter's box.

The notion that such a cheat and a freak could break Aaron's record is repugnant.

This also gives him time to test new performance enhancing drugs in the meantime that aren't detected by the current MLB drug test.

Maybe, just maybe, Barry has gotten a glimpse into the media frenzy that would entail him chasing Ruth and Aaron, and wants out.

Knowing Barry, though, he'd probably want to pass the fat white guy and then call it a day.

Personally, I hope he doesn't play another inning.

Looks like it's taking longer than we expected for the new undetectable steroid to be produced.

I think he just got tired of not having people talk about him all the time and needed to get back on the first 10 minutes of SportsCenter.

I'm waiting for Dr. Jose Canseco to weigh in on the Bonds situation.

He'll be pushing 42 when next season starts, an age when most hitters' reflexes are gone. No matter how much juicing he does in the off-season he may be washed up by the time the season starts. I certainly hope so.

I think someone must have set him down, made him realize what he was dealing with, and he realized it might be time to hang up the spikes.....

I dont think we will ever see barry bonds on the field again....hopefully
