Ozzie is the Sunday Night Conversation on sportscenter tonight.

Let's set up a watch for it/a recap of it.

I know I don't want to watch sportscenter but I wanna know when this will be on to see it. I'm sure most people will be like that.

I'll have sportscenter on with the PIP, so if I catch when it's gonna be, I'll post.

Any way we can get ESPN to provide some subtitles for the interview? :D:

I don't know if I can sit through an hour of Stuart Scott and Linda Cohn without shooting my TV.

Anyone know who that guy was wearing #1 and stealing second in that short clip? He looked kind of familiar. :redneck

I loved that.
I like how he clearly stated that he and KW were on the same page.

That was one pleasurable experience for me. A little national press never hurt anyone.

Yet again he clears up the term "Smallball", and mentions the Sox play "baseball". Good interview, I don't know what Stuart Scott meant by "He ain't no Torii Hunter". Is that something Ozzie said?

It was a very nice piece. Just maybe after showing our sad playoff numbers other fans will realize how long its been. Its our year to take it all.
GO WHITE SOX !!!!

Them showing the Sox playoff numbers(the last time they won a playoff game, last World Series, etc) was yet another way to take a stab at the team and try to ruin an otherwise enjoyable interview with Ozzie. You have to read between the lines.

Or it was "Just the facts ma'am". They could've gone further on to say we've never won a playoff series, but they held back. Its not all a conspiracy, the Sox lose a lot, its worth noting every now and then. Especially when we are winning, and you can contrast it with this new coach who is helping us win.... possibly a playoff series or 3.

Just shows how much E(ast)SPN loves the White Sox.

oh come on. i hate east s p n as much as anyone but there's nothing sinister here, besides commercialism.

they're already planting the seeds of interest in case we make a run at it.

i guarantee if we would make the series, they would promote it as "This year's Red Sox, breaking a long curse".

it's not about ripping on us, it's about them making money.

He said he "ain't not Joe Tori". I'm taking that he meant he was the opposite of Tori....outspoken and energetic.

Once again, I am convinced that the secret to the Sox' success lies in the fact that Ozzie Guillen has made it fairly obvious to every player on this team that no one is more important than he is. "If you don't want to play to win everyday, I'll help you get out of here".

Very refreshing in this day of professional sports.

Ozzie is the star of this team and its about time he gets some positive press.
Too bad they didn't mention what he did for Allen Thomas the White Sox director of conditioning.
The rest of America needs to know just how cunning AND caring this guy really is.

They did mention something about it during the game last night. They should've on sportscenter as well though. That's an awesome thing for ozzie to do.

One more note: I don't have internet at the apartment, only at work... and when i left on friday the world was coming to an end. Frank had just got pronounced out for the season, just lost 2 of the 3 to royalty, and were about to head to baltimore for a four game set.

when I come back monday, the problem is keeping the guys focused.

Posting our playoff stats is NOT an indication of anti-Sox bias, guys. The facts are the facts... and in our case, those playoff numbers are not good. All the better when we reset 'em all this year.

Good piece, nothing new or especially relevant. That's a shock coming from ESPN. If I hear that "Open Road" song one more time, I am going to STAB my damn TV. Arrrrrrgh....

I hadn't watched the Sunday Conversation in a while, but from what I recall they usually go to commercial and don't follow up with stats-especially ones that are mired in the past. It's true they aren't completely irrelevant,as Sox fans want to see the playoff futility come to an end.But why not show stats that support Ozzie's comments on how the Sox are playing the game this season or team chemistry? Build upon what the conversation was about;don't tear it down by reminding us of our past woes.Maybe I am looking for them to treat it as more of a feel good story as opposed to the typical "they're doing well now,BUT this is what they have done in the past."

Who's "Joe Tori"? Is he related to Yank-mes manager Joe Torre?

Regarding that home post season win statistic, here's a better one. The record for most consecutive home post season losses is 10 set by the Phillies franchise. Guess who is at nine straight right now?

Now you know why at the absolute minimum I want the Sox to win game #1 of the ALDS.

I missed the interview but let me guess: they asked Ozzie how it felt to play second fiddle to the "Lovable Losers".
