The Rangers pulled Chan Ho Park from his start at the last minute. No word on why. Speculation is rampant that they have traded him, possibly to the Orioles as part of a trade involving Sidney Ponson.

Why would the Rangers take an injured Ponson?

I think that if they can get rid of Chan Ho and his albatross of a contract, they would do anything.

They just did this

For the second time this week, the San Diego Padres (http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/teams/page/SD) have arranged a trade to move slugger Phil Nevin (http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/7924), this time in a deal that will send him to Texas (http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/teams/page/TEX) for pitcher Chan Ho Park (http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/7961), CBS SportsLine.com has learned.

Buster Olney was just talking about this on ESPNEWS. Nevin can't reject a trade to Texas. Park has a no trade but Olney said he would most likely waive it.

So, has anyone figured out why Texas is trading for a bat? This has to mean they have another trade with a starting pitcher coming to Arlington in the works.

Getting Ponson wouldn't help either, because he brings nothing.

No, you're wrong.

He does bring the potential of running down an Aruban judge on a golf course. At least give him that.

:D:

Was Larry Bigbie involved? he was also suddenly yanked from this game? 1 of Farmer and Rooney's 2 explanations was that he got traded.

To replace a "to be traded" Soriano?

Bigbie was to have been part of the package Baltimore put together to get Burnett. Could it be that the Fish decided to take that rather than trade him to the Sox who would have spun him to Philadelphia? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

So... they'd have either Phil Nevin, Hank Blalock, or Mark Teixeira playing second?

Eh, can't be any worse than Soriano.
