The timing of this thread is bad because of the 'W' being stolen from Big Jon today. However, I just remembered Levine being on with Carmen and Silvy just before the season started. They asked him point blank which Chicago pitcher would win the most games this year. This included ALL Chicago pitchers. Levine thought for about 10 seconds and said, "Jon Garland". After Levine hung up the hosts were stunned. Heck I was stunned, just because he is Levineline. Looking back though, that's an amazing prediction.

He also said that Wood would win more games than Garcia. I remember one poster here (Unregistered?) saying that Garcia would win more games than Wood starts.

So far they're tied at 10. :roflmao:

"Veeter, if I was a bumblebee and you were a flower, how would you attract me?" With charm and wit, of course.

With the smell of urine. I just hope the flower is a Venus flytrap.

If Freddy wins one more game this season, that poster will be proven correct. Carrie Woods will be in the bullpen when and if he returns to the Cubs this season. He has made his last start for 2005.

**One day after the Garcia trade**

MJH: "Bruce, what are the chances the Sox resign Garcia to an extension before the year is over?"

Levine: "Mac, the chance of that is nil. Garcia wants to expore the free agent market, it wouldn't make sense for him to sign an extension right now."

and remember 'Frank Thomas won't be back until July.' (A few days later the Sox activate him...)

I would tape a magnet to your back and glue iron filings to myself. Then let nature take its course.

From now on every time I see that picture I am going to think of Bruce Levine asking that question.

I've never noticed it until now, but he looks like he just stood up from a meditation session to greet a new student.

"Ahh, young Mr. Wood. I see you are having shoulder troubles. Come, sit down by the pond and I will take you along the path of the Buddah. Together we will reveal the source of these mechanical issues, and all your pains will melt away."

That's pretty funny. That picture also looks like Levine telling you about his family always getting together at Olive Garden.

"When you come to Olive Garden, it's like one big family reunion."

IMO, it makes him look like a bigger closet poofta than he already sounds like.

Yep. Someone posted in the Burnett Megathread that Levine said Burnett doesn't want to play here and won't resign under any circumstances, or something like that. Of course he is making it up, its wishful thinking for him. Earlier today he was reporting that the Cubs are gonna get Alfonso Soriano for mid-level prospects.
