It's McCarthy's turn for Charlotte tonight. The rest of the teams have early starts.

B'ham trails 6-4 in the 7th on a rainy day. Phillips got knocked around (5 R in 5 IP). Malone on in relief; he's Ked 4 through 2 IP but also gave up a run. Blakely's 3-3 with a HR. Owens, Rogo, and Sweeney already have 2 hits each.

W-S is up 6-4 in the 8th. Flores got a spot start and blew. Spidale, Valido, and Collaro with 2 hits each. Valido also has 2 SBs.

Kanny lost 7-1 (final). Torres was better (but wild) in his 2nd start (5.1 IP, 2 R, 2 H, 4 BB, 6 K, WP) and was the hard-luck loser. Rote got shelled in his A-ball debut (3 R in 1 IP). The I's had only 3 hits and 0 BB (v. 2 errors). Josh Hansen managed to continue his hot streak with a 2B and a HR. Getz started at SS but drew the collar. Lucy also went hitless and committed an error on a successful SB attempt.

The Barons score another run in smallball fashion1 but lose 6-5.

The 'Hogs won 8-4. Spidale added a HBP, and Valido reached on an error.

1. Owens walked, went to third on a bad pickoff throw, and scored on Gonzo's RBI groundout to 2B.

The Knights are under way. Biko (BB) and Brown (RBI 2B) spot McCarthy an early 1-0 lead.

Brandon is pitching pretty well tonight. 6 inngs (so far) no runs, 2 hits, 3 BB and 5 strike-outs. Knights are up 3-0 in the top of the 7th.

What a nice game Brandon pitched tonight :bandance: 8 shut-out innings, 3 hits, 4 BB, 8 Strike-outs and the victory. Bajenaru a 1-2-3 ninth. Knights win 4-0.

Borchard 1-4 with RBI #50 .257 average
Anderson 1-4, Toca 1-3, Brown 1-4.

Jeff Bajenaru has impressed me so much this season. His numbers have been one of the best AAA this year for a closer. Mike Burns and Juan Padillia are the only others in AAA that I am as impressed with as Bajenaru.
