How about neither?

Uh, neither. In the last decade, that would be this man:

That's what I thought as well. 41 HRs, 107 RBIs, 1.056 OPS in 122 career games vs the White Sox. Not even a contest.

So neither does Bobby Kielty. We play the A's what, 6 times this year?

I'd put Joe Randa in there too

I always hated to see our very own Jermaine Dye stroll to the plate against us.

Tori Hunter?

Coco Crisp?

Brad Radke?

Coco Crisp and Joe Randa when he played over here. I would walk Coco Crisp everytime he comes to the plate. I cannot stand when he is at the plate. Seems like he just feasts on Sox pitching.

Chris Shelton from the tigers has enjoyed unloading on the sox this year as well. He has killed us.

Bowie Kuhn for denying Edward DeBartolo's bid to purchase the team and turn it into a championship machine in the '80s and beyond.

I was going to say Sweeney too. Especially tonight.

I would say lately the biggest White Sox killer is the Chicago White Sox.

Tie between Bobby Kielty and Torii Hunter, in terms of guys we'd actually see. If you're talking in the division, it's
Torii Hunter
Jacque Jones
Mike Sweeney
Coco Crisp
Chris Shelton
Magglio Ordoņez

Denny Hocking used to rough us up pretty bad.

Gil Heredia.

He was like Joe Mays #2.

I remember when Ortiz was with the Twins, he'd always have good games against us.

Hey, the question is who is the bigger Sox killer, not the biggest. So just ask yourself which of those two does more damage against the Sox. I say Kielty because he's a jerk.

I would have to say Bobby Higginson. Good lord, this guy would be a HOFer if he could have played against the Sox his entire career.

I would have to say Bobby Higginson. Good lord, this guy would be a HOFer if he could have played against the Sox his entire career. That's one guy I never figured out. Most of the other guys mentioned here are good hitters. They kill everybody. Higgenson's about a career .270 hitter, but he's .340 against the White Sox.:o:

Eric Chavez
Carl Crawford
Manny Ramirez
and very new to this list, Magglio Ordonez

07-27-2005, 11:11 AM
What about Eric Byrnes? He always seems to kill us! If not with the bat then some weird stolen base or a ridiculous diving catch or something.

Lip Man 1
07-27-2005, 11:50 AM
Gang without question MIKE SWEENEY! He's killed the Sox for years going on a decade. Joe Mays is also right up there. The two folks in the 'poll' don't even compare to Sweeney and Mays.

I can't believe I forgot bobby higginson, omg I hate that guy, every time I saw him at the plate I just didn't like him, he always got a big hit, thank god he's injured, and thank god he's been replaced for when he comes back

DrGiggles
07-27-2005, 02:26 PM
Definitely I believe its Mike Sweeney.

ChicagoHoosier
07-27-2005, 02:50 PM
They just posted a list on the telecast. Thome has 41 HRs vs. the Sox, far and away the leader. Sweeney was 5th with 26 (including the one he just popped).

friarhky22
07-27-2005, 03:26 PM
Can we add Mike Sweeney to the list?

He's only been added by the last 800 posters in this thread.

Mike Sweeney

And here's another vote for Sweeny--who has now hit another three-run homer to tie the game in the 8th!

Can we add Mike Sweeney to the list?

Mike Sweeney is a registered Sox offender (two HR today).

Long ago I remember how Willie Horton and Norm Cash of Detroit used to kill the Sox.

I'm certain Dave Stieb is near the top of the All Time Sox Killers (TASK for those of us who are dyslexic)

After today is there any question folks?

Mike Sweeny or Jim Thome.

The entire Oakland lineup (lets face it, its all of them).

That about sums it up.

I'm certain Dave Stieb is near the top of the All Time Sox Killers (TASK for those of us who are dyslexic)

And then naturally he got in a Sox uniform and continued to kill us.

I'm sure Eric Bedard will be getting some votes on Friday. 2.11 ERA... sheesh!

I hope to be proven wrong by Monday afternoon my new vote is Tejada.

Also it appears any call up pitcher we face is "lights out or nails" as Hawk puts it.

From years past:

Eddie Murray
Brian Downing
Jack Morris

Recently, Jim Thome is the king. I was shocked to see that he signed in the NL and not surprised that his numbers have fallen without White Sox pitching to bail him out of slumps.
