Dang ........ thats right. There will be a HUGE picture in both papers, Live coverage from all TVStations, as well as live remotes from outside The Urinal.
Dont be surprised to see Chopper 7, 5, 2 and WGN flying high overhead to cover
the huge sports story

I wonder if the Cubune and Cub-Times will do a time-line story covering each of his 3000 K's. It will feature the batter that was K'd, the inning, Stadium in which it happened, and maybe a little anecdote from Greg on what he was thinking when he struck the batter out.

Coming Sunday: A special pull-out section, commemorating K by K, every single strike-out throughout his glorious career with comments
by Greg Maddux himself. A section you will treasure for years to come.

Hangar [or anybody],

Didn't Steve Carlton get his 3000th strikeout with the Sox? What was the headline then? Curious.

Yeah right, and I am sure there is going to be some sort of documentary about this as well.

Naw. They'll only list his strike outs with the cubs.

Haha, I can see it now Maddux strikes out two in the first inning, by the 4th the whole field is drenched and they have to postpone the game and not count the strikeouts. Then again we'd have to go through all this madduxmania again tomorrow, so I don't know if I want that in pink or not.

There was a work shindig at the Urinal tonight I ended up skipping... too bad, looks like I'll miss the biggest Chicago sporting event of the summer.

Seriously though, I can't believe they waited 3 hrs to start that game.
