Shingo is in limbo right now. I'm not 100% sure how these cases work, but when a player is designated for assignment, I believe that the Sox have a certain number of days to try and work a deal for him, while being able to call someone else up onto the 25-man roster for him. If they don't trade him, then Shingo would have to be placed on waivers. If he clears waivers, then he either has the option of accepting his assignment in Charlotte or becoming a free agent.

Like I said, I'm not 100% sure if there are more steps involved, nor do I know how long the deadlines are for anything, so I don't know how much longer before we see the Frisbee in action again.

I'm not really sure how a lot of baseball's roster rules work.

So its doubtful that we will see him in action again.

Still a little confusing, but it helps out a lot.
