View Full Version : Nonsense From Flubs Fan Columnist in Mobile Register

Read this Flubbie propaganda piece from Flubbie "fan"/college football writer Neal McCready from Wednesday's editions of the Mobile Register.

I wouldn't have too much of a problem with it except for these two paragraphs taking a shot at the Sox:

"Some nine miles south of Wrigley Field, or a short ride on the Red Line, the White Sox entered Tuesday's game against Detroit with a sparkling 62-29 record, good for a 13-game lead over Minnesota in the American League's Central Division. Barring another gambling scandal, the White Sox are playoff-bound. The Cubs, meanwhile, need a remarkable second-half run to even have a chance of playing meaningful October baseball.

Very few people in Chicago, however, seem to notice. The White Sox were thrilled that some 35,000 people were expected for the series opener against the Tigers. Meanwhile, the Cubs are drawing daily sellouts at Wrigley. After the heartbreak of 2003, the disappointment of the final-week collapse in 2004 and the first-half mediocrity of this season, the Cubs are still easily the hottest ticket in Chicago."

Uhhh, football writer: The reason nobody in Chicago, in your warped mind anyway, "notices" is because of the Flubbie biased Chicago media that you are exposed to while visiting chicagosports.com!!!! In addition to that, football writer, the "gambling scandal" reference is completely unecessary!!!! The outstanding job Ozzie and the team are doing in dominating the American League as a whole to this point has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the Black Sox scandal!!!!

Typical Flubbie "fan" arrogance!!!!

What's worse, this buffoon co-hosts the afternoon drive show on WNSP Sports Radio 105.5 FM in Mobile. Not only should Sox fans everywhere e-mail this clown, we all should let him have it on his radio show as well!!!!

What amazes me is people still get worked up over this. None of this is new. Let it go.

Ok, 1919 happened, we get it. Move on.

How about this: The Flubs made it to the WS in 1945 because all of the good players around the league were in WW2.*

****ing Wrigley fans, go away already.
