Would he be worth a look as a back up infielder? On the cincy web site it says he only is making 500k this year and he can play 3rd short or 2nd (although his range killed the Mariners last year), .250 9hr and 33rbi in about 230 abs. With Freel comming off the DL he could get squeezed out, and he may come cheeply so the sox still have a lot to offer in order to get another pitcher. Just wanted some thoughts.

How desperate do you think we are to even consider this?

I only like that guy because his name sounds just like mine when you say it fast. So hearing "Rich Aurilia plays for the Sox" just sounds cool.
