WSCR the Score just reported the Red Sox have traded for Tony G. for a couple of minor leaguers... I thought he would have been a good pick up for a back up to a couple of our guys, oh well...

Yeah but like others have stated several times, even with the Royals out of it, they wouldn't have been likely to help someone in their own division anyway.

They just said it on BBTN. Is there already a thread about this somewhere? I'm waiting for the "we need Tony G." guys to come out of the wood work.

He ain't coming here (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2111829)

Graffanino + Trade = "KW should trade for Tony G" threads for the off-season.

"The Red Sox made a solid addition to their middle infield on Tuesday, acquiring versatile right-handed hitter Tony Graffanino from the Royals in exchange for two Minor Leaguers -- outfielder Chip Ambres and left-handed pitcher Juan Cedeno."

Good trade - I like Tony, and the RedSox need him pretty bad in there... I wonder what kind of impact he makes this weekend? Regardless, i'll be cheering when he comes up to bat.

As will I. I had the pleasure of meeting him before a spring training game when I was down in AZ for vacation. He was on KC at this time and I was telling him how much SOX fans loved him wished him the best. He had nothing but good things to say about the city of Chicago and SOX fans.

He must be thrilled to be getting out of KC!

I hope he gets to play down the stretch run and into the postseason. Tony deserves it and he has every opportunity to make a hug impact on a contender.

I hope he hugs a few players hard to take the wind out of them as they take the field.

seeing old Graff in a Red Sox uni tonight inspired me to create this thread. What do you think about it?

That I wish he was in a Sox uniform instead of Willie Harris.
