Charlotte lost an early game 3-2. Adkins gave up 2 ER in 6.1 IP. Anderson had 2 more hits, raising his AVE to .303.

Tonight's probables:
- Honel for B'ham
- Wing or Gio for W-S
- Egbert for Kanny

Kannapolis batters drew 11 walks.

The Barons scored only 1 run despite 9 hits, 3 opponent's errors, a HBP, and 2 SB.

Ahhh, but why did we draft him again? It's too bad he was hurt for half the season...

IIRC, Lucy's done a damn fine job controlling the running game also.
Hopefully, he'll keep this up for the rest of the season and at higher levels.

I have to admit I was skeptical after he struggled at Great Falls. Nice to see him doing well.

I have to admit I was skeptical after he struggled at Great Falls. Nice to see him doing well.

The thing with him has been his lack of experience. He barely played a lick behind Ryan Garko for several years and really only had 1 year as starter at Stanford. Very athletic and a kid who has a prototype build for it.

Inexperience and being raw at the plate were 2 things we knew about him coming in. Very limited experience with wooden bats as well. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
