FORT MILL, S.C. - The International League announced today that Charlotte Knights center fielder Brian Anderson has been named Batter-of-the-Week for the week of July 11-17. He batted .500 for the week :bandance:

Brian went 2 for 5 with HR #15 tonight in a 13-5 victory over Rochester. He's now batting .301 :bandance:

I'm afraid he's on the trading block. It depends what we get for him, I suppose, but I hope we keep him. I certainly do not want to ship him to Toronto for Ted "Overrated" Lilly.

I think that is 4 HR's in his last 4 games... gonna have to check but pretty close if not...

God I hope we don't trade Anderson, I understand its now or never time (I guess), but this is too good of a talent to let slip, his fielding/hitting could help the White Sox outfield for the next 10-13 years.

I agree 100%. There is absolutely no one on the trade market right now worth giving up Anderson for anyway.

I totally agree. I really don't see anyone available that I would trade Brian for. I was against last years Freddy Garcia trade for Jeremy Reed and Michael Morse and even though that worked out, I don't want to keep on trading away prospects. Especially TOP PROSPECTS!!

I think that was Kenny's point to the media yesterday. Sure, if a legit top-of-the-rotation guy becomes available, he'll consider pulling out all the stops, but you don't trade these guys for the likes of Ted Lilly.
