"DRILLROD."
"No," he said. "They are a good team, but I don't think they are the best team. They are not better than we are.
"Right now, they've got a lot of confidence and they've got things going for them." -Casey Blake, Indians OF

He's obviously from the Dmitri Young school of public speaking.

Hmm...I would say that having a 10-3 record against your team says otherwise...

Why do players keep saying stuff like this? Anyone who doesn't think this team is for real is in a fantasy land.

As I said in another forum, apparently confidence is worth 15.5 games on July 18, the number it would take the Indians to go ahead of the Sox.

Blake should worry about his swing and everyday play rather than producing bulletion board material.
I mean come on Casey, you are hitting just over the Mendoza line and you only have 29 RBI's in just about 300 AB's. Just shut-up and PRACTICE!

Cleveland = overrated. Maybe they've just hit a skid, but they blew against the Sox. Their 2nd baseman Belliard would never make it with Ozzie, looks pretty lazy.

I wonder who he thinks is the best team they've faced?
didn't some detroit tiger (inge maybe) say somthing along these lines after getting swept?
I wonder if these things stem from that whole pre-conceived notion that the Sox weren't supposed to be that good this year, and any time a team loses to them the team that lost feels "my team wasn't playing up to par".

It was Craig Monroe. I personally love this **** to death. Ignorance is bliss, I guess for our divisional foes. 30-5 encounting you morons!

I clicked the link thinking it would be from the offseason, due to all of the media hype the Indians were getting. After the amazing Indians offense managed to score a total of 3 runs against the Sox' starting pitching in the 4 game series, you'd think someone batting barely over .200 would keep his mouth shut.
