What's up with Whisler? He was pitching well, got hurt, has come back slowly and then got absolutely creamed for about four starts. Now has put two pretty decent starts back-to-back. Is he 100%? He's a guy who concerns me because his talent has outstripped his results in college and somewhat as a pro. Has anyone seen him pitch lately?

What's his average up to? I'm thinking at the very least he might be good trade bait.

We've won one in a row and for us, I think that constitutes a winning streak! Borchard seems to be hitting with alot more confidence and Brian Anderson seems to be out of his funk. Sources here say that Gload will be optioned down here as early as Monday. With Burke on the DL with a broken thumb, Davis, Colqulette, and Alvarez all out with Tommy John surgery, and Cassanova on the DL with a hurt back, pretty soon we'll have more on the DL than on the active roster. Ross is pretty down about being optioned back but knows the game. I truly believe that he'll give his all no matter where he plays. What a great guy.

It will be nice watching Anderson in September(if he's not traded).

I hope he's not traded, he will be a huge part of our future. There really is no stud pitcher/player available on the market this year that is worth giving up Anderson for so hopefully Kenny keeps him.

Whisler has unhittable "stuff", but his location is somewhat erratic at times and he is still learning to be a pitcher instead of a thrower. He usually has one BAD inning, but if he can squirm out of it has a nice start.
He has not been 100% since his 2nd or 3rd start of the year until recently from what I have heard.
