Now that it is confirmed by CBS Sportsline and ESPN that Thome is available, should the Sox go after him? Would you give up McCarthy for him? Wouldn't a 3,4,5 of Thome, Thomas, and Dye look good?

Or is the Lowell/Burnett deal a better deal?

If Lowell maintains his slump, he is not a better hitter/fielder than Crede, and Burnett will walk after this year. Is it worth Contreras/McCarthy/Crede?
