Are you actually watching the game or just saw that on SC?

I definitely wasn't going to be the one to start this thread. :o:

This will be quite an interesting finish. Turn it on if you can.

Bottom of the 7th. I'm listening to it on GameDay Audio.

I'm watching the game. I get the Astros/Rangers on Fox sort of like Cubs/Sox on WGN. Astros are the primary team, and they throw Texas at us once a week.

Do you think that ESPN'll will buy the rights to the last inning? I've never seen a great performance like this live - it would be pretty cool...

White Sox Josh

He had Teixera 3-0 and ended getting him to ground out. 6-0 A's.

Harden has 64 pitches through 7 innings... man, those Texas hitters have been swinging early and often tonight!

Top 8 coming up in 2 minutes; I'll post what happens.

I'm sure ESPN will pick up at least the last inning.

My gris gris from New Orleans to Oakland, via Chicago, worked wonders.

This is pretty cool being able to watch the local Fox broadcasts from other locations...does anyone know how much it is for an entire season of the MLB package on DirecTV? I may have to invest in it next year.

As a baseball fan, and someone who cares little for the Rangers, I'd have liked for Harden to get the PG.

As a fan of the team that was just humiliated by Oakland, basically reducing the best team in MLB to media cannon fodder for a week, I enjoy seeing anyone rain on their parade.

And then I have to deal with the World's Worst Trash Talker, though that is only my problem. :redneck

Exactly. Who cares who is pitching? It's a freaking perfect-game! How many times do you get the chance to see a pitcher throw a perfect game? I hate the A's as much as anyone for what they did to us. But to see baseball history would have been well worth it. Damn, damn, damn.

I don't like the As, but I love rich Harden.

would've liked to have seen him do it.

to do it against Texas too...

that's ****ing impressive

Complete game shutout 2-hitter with 8 K's on just 80 pitches. Wow. That's really getting it done. Great outing. That has to be the best start by a pitcher this year.

And to think, I almost didn't start him in the WSI H2H fantasy league because I was worried the Rangers would rock him. :o: :D:

I know what you're saying, but if any Twins, Toons, Tigers*, or Cubs** pitcher is throwing a PG or NH, I'm rooting like hell for the opponent. Sorry.

*I'd have included the Royals, as they are another divisional rival, but at this point it would feel like kicking an old, sick dog.

**I don't really care about the Cubs, but I'd be forced to listen to my idiotic Cub-fan co-workers.

A's are my pick for the wild card. I don't want the A's to win the wild card. I didn't want them to win tonight. I wanted to see Harden give up eight runs. (If I'm not watching a game, what do I care if somebody on a team I don't like pitches a perfect game?)

I'm just afraid the A's will will the wild card.

Now they're one win closer.

Wanting the A's to lose? Being happy had they lost?

That I understand.

Wanting the perfect game broken up?

That escapes me. The PG wouldn't have done anything to the standings that the two-hit shutout didn't.

I'm not a FOBB or an A's fan, but I saw Harden when he was with the Kane County Cougars, and I like to see them do well no matter where they end up.

The Cougars are currently the Class A affiliate of the A's, but they've been the affiliate of both the Orioles and the Marlins in the past. They play out in the far west (to coin a phrase) 'burbs of Chicago, in Geneva, IL.
