Am I reading that box score correctly? Did the Twins really bat Boone third in their lineup? Its one thing to pick up another team's trash. Its yet another to stick that trash right in the heart of your lineup.

So much for your "savior", BatGirl.

The Twins have fallen far if their blockbuster deal this year involves this de-juiced, has-been, no-range, bat-flipping jerk-weed.

Boone is history. He is worse than he was before he mysteriously became a great hitter in 2000. How long before Punto is out there every day again?

Im assuming they did this because Washburn was pitching and he had good numbers against him. Though if he bats third again then that is just pathetic.

During the broadcast the Twins announcers were almost conceding the division to the White Sox. They were praising the Sox on their AL Central record and saying if the Sox stayed hot, the Twins should just look to the wild card.

It would be dishonest to logically take any other posture. It is not even a matter of the Sox staying hot. If the Sox are just a little above average the cannot be caught.

I really hope the Twins get the WC. It would be great for the NY-Bos-Balt race to be a winner takes all death match.
