Kannapolis lost 4-1 in 8 innings (rain), and Chipper Jones made another rehab start at DH going 2/3; Bakker got smashed for 10 H, 1 HR, 2 BB, 4 ER, 3 K in 6.0IP...6.87
Getz 1/3, 1 2B, .387
Hansen 1/3, 1 HR, 1 RBI, .272

W/S destroyed Myrtle Beach 12-3; Gio was effective enough going 5.0IP, 5 H, 3 BB, 4 K, 2 ER, 4.34 (W/S ERA)
Lee 2/5, 1 R, 4 RBI, .305
Hinton 4/5, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 3B, 3 RBI, .264
As an aside, Myrtle Beach have some of the craziest names ever on their team...for example: Loadenthal, Rozema, Saltalamacchia, Digby...it goes on and on.

Charlotte got whacked 13-2; Adkins was crushed in 5.0IP, 6 H, 5 BB, 4 HR, 8 ER, 3 K, 5.88...Kevin Walker also gave up a HR and 2 ER in 1.0IP...
only Charlotte highlights were:
Gload 1/4, 1 RBI, .364
Borchard 1/4, 1 HR(17), 1 RBI, .255

Speaking of names, there are numerous names on Bristol's roster that remind me of either former Sox or former players...
Tim Sabo (Chris Sabo), Steven Squires (Mike Squires), Derek Rodriguez (Aurelio Rodriguez), Tim Murphy (Danny Murphy), Aaron Cunningham ( Joe Cunningham), Joe Winn (Jim Winn), Christian Acosta (Cy Acosta), Santo Garcia (Freddy Garcia), Marcos Causey (Wayne Causey) and Frank Viola (son of Frank Viola).

I didn't know that. Cool!
Spanky was one of my all-time favorites, as was Ken Berry (whose son we also oddly enough have in the organization). Both guys were excellant fielders and guys that gave it their all.
