It appears this game vs. the BoSox is a sellout already. I tried searching for tix through the Sox site and nothing came up. If anyone has some they want to get rid of could you please let me know. I would be interested but I'm not going to pay an arm and a leg.

Holy crap, how do these Boston guys have so many seats?

Holy crap, how do these Boston guys have so many seats?

Because they don't really 'have' them. There is an online network of ticket brokers who probably have access to the same database.

For example, look at that game on acetickets.com, sportstickets.com and ticketworld.com (who I know is based in Hartford, CT).

They both have tickets for section 127, row 33. And 123 row 14. etc., etc.

I'm sure that you could find those seats on several other ticket broker sites..

There's still singles available for the 7/23 game on whitesox.com. No 2 seats together though.

Edit

You're going to get yourself in trouble here if you start asking for "offers". If 30 is face, that's what you should ask for them.

I got tickets at whitesox.com for 7/22 a week ago and the best available were upper deck and 17 rows back. So I wouldn't be suprised if a Saturday night game is sold out.

I got tickets for lower deck about 2 weeks ago from some guy on ebay. We got a pair for close to $90. Kind of pricey but I don't mind too much, it's a birthday present to me. :D:

Thats IMPOSSIBLE. How could a July 23rd game against the Red Sox be "Sold Out" when the Chicago Medias been telling us for years that "nobody goes" to the games"?

Quite a few left on ebay (http://search.ebay.com/red-sox-white-sox-7-23_W0QQsofocusZbsQQsbrftogZ1QQmaxrecordsreturnedZ3 00QQfrppZ50QQfromZR10QQsatitleZredQ20soxQ20whiteQ2 0soxQ207Q2F23QQsacatZ-1QQcatrefZC6QQsargnZ-1QQsaslcZ2QQsadisZ200QQfposZ60640QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1Q QfsopZ1QQfsooZ1QQcoactionZcompareQQcopagenumZ1QQco entrypageZsearch). Some are way overpriced, but it looks like there may be some steals if you time your bidding right.

I'll be there Friday, Saturday, and maybe Sunday! My first games since the All-Star break--can't wait!

Sox are pissing me off... this is the same crap they did for the cubs series...

http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/cws/ticketing/auctions/sox.jsp

it's the same as the Cubs having their own ticket brokers, except we're auctioning them off...

I went to the box office on Tuesday and bought 10 seats (I planned a small group outing) for Friday 7/22. What bothered me was they did have seats in section 100 available... for full price - $35 each. These seats are obstructed by the fan deck. I took a pass and got Row 9 in Section 544. I've sat here before and found them to be more enjoyable seats than the outfield. This was much better than what was available on ticketmaster.

It pays to buy at the box office.

And the $$ goes to CHARITY!!!

It would be nice if they put that on the website. I remember that question popped up when they pulled this for the Cubs/Sox series, and nobody was sure if the money went to charity.

If it does go to charity, thats great. If not, thats pretty shady.

I bought a pair of tickets for both Saturday and Sunday's games (23rd and 24th) back in JANUARY.

The best they were able to get me for the 23rd back in JANUARY was Section 516, Row 6...So, the two of us are going to be getting to the ballpark very early to sit on the Bullpen Sports Bar terrace.

The best they were able to get me for the 24th was in Section 106, Row 27.

I wouldn't be surprised if every single game in this next homestand is a sellout!

Not gonna happen. Scalping tickets is illegal and one thing that can get us in a lot of trouble around. Too bad he didn't read this first (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=49958).

Listening to the pregame on WMVP before one of the Cubs/Sox games that question came up, and the hosts got all riled up and got someone from Sox management on the phone, who explained that the proceeds went to White Sox charities, which made everyone much more relaxed about the whole thing.

Why wouldn't you ask those who have something to do with the charity if the money is going to charity.. ?

No surprise that sales for the Boston series are strong. According to today's Game Notes, 128,600 tickets have been sold for the series as of this morning, including 600 tickets sold yesterday. There can't be too many left...

Speaking of Detroit, those games are selling quite nicely as well. 82,000 through this morning including 34,150 for Wednesday's afternoon finale. I'll be at that game for sure and possibly Monday and Tuesday.:D:
