Can anybody manage to list the songs they use for the various montages during the games? I would like to know the one that uses the flute loop from the Bossa Nova SOng from Austin Powers mixed in with the rap portion. That is probably my favorite video apart from the intro video and I dont know what the name of that tune is. ANybody have an idea?

I don't think he's used it this year, but I remember Konerko used to get introduced with Crazy Train by Ozzy.

I caught that too, I was surprised to hear that one.

However, I was more surprised to hear Nancy play Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes on the organ. I know it has been said before, but we need more Nancy.

Good job on this thread, it should be stuck since it seems like 2 threads a week are started about what music plays during the intro video.

EDIT: Just remembered that I've heard E-Pro by Beck used for A.J.

That "bossa nova" song from Austin Powers was
"Soul Bossa Nova" by Quincy Jones.

My question is, what the heck is that high pitched tune that is played when opposing managers have a mound visit? It sounds like a squirrel singing something about being so lonely. :?:

I know the sample was taken from an old Bobby Vinton song
titled,appropriately,"Mr.Lonely".The sample was sped up to 78 speed
by the rapper who used it in a song about a break up with his girlfriend.
The name escapes me.Sorry.

I'm pretty sure I've heard A.J. come out "Float On" by Modest Mouse which makes him the man in my book. Also I've heard Carl come out to That one Mariah Carey song. Some thing that sounds like "Like that ya'll". I laughed because he looks like this big B.A. and he was coming out to Mariah Carey.

That high-pitched "Lonely" song is just bizarre. Just this past series when it came on--even though I've heard it dozens of times--it finally dawned on me: *** is this song?

My favorite song of every game other than The Blues Brother's Sweet Home Chicago after a victory (add that one to the list) is the aforementioned Thunderstruck during the player intros. However, has anyone noticed that the "Around, round, round" lyrics during the opening guitar riff is noticeably off beat? It was definitely edited for time reasons, and whoever did it did not do a very good job.

They are played for the batters when they are walking up to the plate. If you listen closely you can hear it on tv but at the game itself its loud and you can hear it. The pitchers music is usually when they are making their way from the bullpen to the mound.

I've updated the first post (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=53907) with everyone's updates, thanks. I've also added a few of my own when I thought of writing it down when I've been at the park. It's hard to keep score, drink beer, root so loudly that you're hoarse, and figure out unfamiliar at-bat music.

The post was getting too long for the forum editor so I'm going to put the "other" songs here instead of the first post.

Would anyone have any corrections/additions? I know Juan Uribe has something with a Latin beat... but I don't know his song, nor Tadahito Iguchi (井口 資仁), Pedro Lopez, Pablo Ozuna, Timo Pérez, nor any of the other pitchers (starters or relievers).

..."My Kinda Town" by Frank Sinatra, played during the Chicago landmark montage video.

..."Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen, which comes on for A.J. every now and then (usually during the later innings).

..."Boom" by P.O.D. which is another one played when Bobby Jenks comes out of the bullpen.

..."Magic" by the Cars, which is being played before "Sweet Home Chicago" after the playoff wins at Comiskey this year.

What I've been enjoying lately is when they've played "living on a prayer" in the playoffs. It's very appropriate for our Sox this year.

Carl Everett has walked up to the plate several times this year to the tune of Snoop Dogg's "Drop It Like It's Hot."

Looking at the title of this thread, the only "ballbark" song I can think of is "Who Let the Dogs Out."

Pierzynski also came out to Lyla by Oasis right before he hit the homer to beat the dodgers.
