Reaction to Pods

This is crazy what everyone has to say about Podsednik making the team. He's the most deserving candidate, his numbers just aren't sexy, and the name isn't catchy. I believe Crawford said something about it being "Bushleague" to campaign like the Sox did for Pods (He didn't start it, the fans and players did). For all the cut-downs people make to the Sox for the "A" word, the fans sure showed their support by beating out New York and Japan to get their player in the All-Star game.

I'm even prouder to be a Sox fan now, and am taking the bitterness of the media with a grain of salt. Its pretty much amusing. I can't wait for them to sub Pods in on the bases, so he can steal home for the AL's winning run.

If that's "Bush League" then I guess we're bushleague, and as far as I can tell that's a really, really good thing. Since when is obvious clubhouse respect and genuine liking for ones teammates a bad thing?! See you in the playoffs, Carl... wait... no we won't.
