I dont know if the clubhouse is the right place for this but how many times did you vote for Pods to get in the all star game. I think it would be cool to get a tally of all the votes from WSI and we could market that as one of our accomplishments

I voted about 1000 times

Lets get an estimated number of times from everyone

I didn't count, but it couldn't have been too much. My dial up connection is so slow. I'm guessing 25-30. At least I contributed even if it wasn't much.

About 350 times

I think like 5 times. Sorry, I got frustrated. At least I voted though, and he got all 25 from me for the original All-Star ballot I believe.

I voted in 4 huge blocks of time. I'd say total around 800-1000. To save time I didn't vote for NL

I would say I voted at least 500 times, probably closer to 700.

I'd say 7 hours (or so) of voting:
- 1 hour monday during the day
- 30 min during the 8th inning Monday night
- 15-20 min during the 6th inning Tuesday night
- 1 hour and 30 min Wednesday morning (1:30 - 3:00 AM)
- 10-20 min when I woke up Wednesday morning [afternoon]
- 4 hours (with short breaks at times) Wednesday evening (3:00 - 7:00 PM)
- AND a countless amount of odd votes while doing nothing

The voting at times was straight through and at other times i took short breaks. So I'd give myself maybe 7 votes per minute. So doing the math...

7 hours, 420 minutes, 7 votes/min...

2940 Votes - Might be high, might be low - probably is - but I don't like attention, and I'll never be sure. 7 votes may be too low of a number per minute, because I timed 10/min twice. But that would be making up for the phone calls and other things I was trying to get done during the 7 hours voting.

I'm crazy, but yea, what can ya do? He made the team right?

I literally lost count.

I did too. I didnt even attempt to count. I multi-tasked so much (voting while talking on the phone, voting while watching tv, voting while in deep thought) that I have absolutely no idea how many votes I casted.

But probably between 800 and 1000.

It's hard to say what I did over the 3 days, but I probably racked in about a 1000 votes. I would sit down for 100 vote intervals and probably had about 4 of those just yesterday at work. Glad it paid off!!!

I think I voted around 50 times for Scotty. I know it's not much, and I thank all of you who voted hundreds or even thousands of times. This is as much a victory for the White Sox Army as it is for Scotty. I can't believe we have four all stars!

Work's been a little slow lately, so I spent an awful lot of the past two days voting. I'm going to say 2000, but I think that's a low estimate. Hmm, maybe I should do some actual work now...

I'd say somewhere in the 200-250 range. I lost count after a while, but spent most of Tueday night voting while I watched the game -- plus a few extra at work yesterday just to be on the safe side.

this thread reminds me of the scene in the original willy wonka movie. The teacher goes around the room asking the kids how many Wonka bars they bought, and Charlie mentions he only bought 1 bar only to be ridiculed and scorned by the other students.

i voted 50 times

I voted somewhere between 130-150 times. Honestly it's tough to count. I had to get myself into a mindset where I wouldn't think about it too much. However, in doing so I forgot to uncheck the box that says mlb.com can send me their useful commercials.

Oh well, it got Scotty in, and all I have to do is hit delete on future mlb.com spam.

Don't just hit deleter. Scroll down to the bottom of the first email and click on the unsubscribe link. They'll unsubscribe you immediately and not bother you anymore. If you don't unsubscribe you'll get lots of MLB email.

Thanks, but I've clicked on the unsubscribe link several times and still get emails from MLB anyway.

I don't know how many times total. I voted for a while Sunday night. I voted for a while Monday. I voted a little on Tuesday morning. After hearing that Pods was down 1000, I decided I was going to vote 1000 times Tuesday night. I ended up throwing in an extra 100, meaning I had 1100 votes just on Tuesday night. Yes, I actually counted 1100 votes. That was the only time I actually bothered to count because I wanted to make sure I added at least 1000. Add in Sunday night, Monday, Tuesday morning and Wednesday and the total is.....way too high for me to count. It was worth it though.

I didn't keep track but I started voting at @ 9pm pacific time, and finished at about 7am.

a lot of clicking and typing in numbers, but I feel it was worth it.

WhiteSox16k had a very impressive amount, but this always was a gestalt mission.

Even before I "joined" the Sox Army (I was rogue for a while, I'd say), I had about 1500. I totaled 2917.

And nice allusion to Willy Wonka, mrfourni.

Conservatively.....about 4000. Family, friends, co-workers...simply amazing!

I made a deal with some of my Astro fan friends where we helped them with Oswalt and they help us with Pods. Then, called my buddies in Boston and they were thrilled to help get Pods in there! The power of networking!!!!

I can just see it now. Manny doubles to the gap in the 3rd inning....Pods comes in and on the first pitch, steals 3rd on a pitch out.

I must be dreaming! :D:

Myself, about 800-1000...I too still see validation codes...it's tough to count and vote sometimes without getting messed up.

Cheers to all those who voted whether 1 or 1000...he got in, and the Sox Army's mission was accomplished.
