View Full Version : Twins off to a lucky start

the twins are leading 2-0 in the second inning, but they wouldn't have any runs if the umpire hadn't completely blown a call. mauer(i think) was totally picked off at third, and the ump called him safe. it was ridiculous. he touched the base, but then fell off, figgins applied the tag and he was still called safe.

get that call right and its still 0-0

And the only reason Morneau was even on 3rd base was that a bloop down the left field line took a funny hop past Garrett Anderson and got to the wall...

and now the angels have a man on third, no outs, and hit two lazy bloops. man on third, two outs now.

I want to keep the Twins as far back in my rear view mirror as possible. I've seen their song and dance for the past three years. In my opinion they are still extremely dangerous because they don't seen to have trouble winning anywhere even Oakland.

What is the deal with an afternoon game in LAA? I thought they never play weekday day games? I guess the rule only applies to the White Sox. Remember our travelling secratary said they tried to get the Angels to give us a Wednesday day game out there and they said they wouldnt do it.

What's up with Mornaeu's batting average? Wasn't Gammons drooling over his BA when he came back from injury?

Don't look now, but Johan's ERA is 3.98.

I couldn't get my MLB.TV to work and in the meantime Anderson hit a 3-run jack off Santana. Hopefully the Angels' pen can hold them and we go into tonight's game 10 up.

never stick a fork in the Twins. The minute that happens, the steak that is the Twins finds out it is alive and eats YOU! :?:

Johan's ERA is 3.98...is that All-Star worthy???

EDIT: Rivera homers and it's 7-5 Halos.

No, but of course his 7-5 record (assuming they lose today) is of course the best in the AL, right? Even though, K's are the most important stat and he has a lot of those.

EDIT: Rivera homers and it's 7-5 Halos. The Twins days are done. They'll finish the season behind the Indians, Pohlad will dump salary, and they won't be heard from again for at least 5 years.

Garret Anderson is the MAN!
A 3-R homer, and in the eighth inning, an outfield assist to get the guy tagging at home on a sac fly!! YOU GO GARRET

Garret Anderson is the MAN!

Garret Anderson has been a supreme Sox killer in the past.
He always seems to get the big hit or draw a walk when the
Halos need it most.:(:
