Can someone in the know tell me where this guy is from and what his future is? I read that he is 11-2 between high A and AA (3-0 in AA). The name sounds vaguely familiar...

There ya go!

He's a kid who didn't make it as a traditional pitcher, took a year off, learned a knuckleball, and has quickly risen in the system.

Thanks. I actually did google it but really didn't get anything worthwhile. I was hoping somebody here actually had seen him and had firsthand information, that's all.

Charlie Haeger was added to the Sox 40-man roster, in Nov, I believe. His uncle, a friend of mine, filled me in on his progress. Being young (22) and a knuckle ball pitcher, Charlie has a seemly bright future.

They give a good review of him on this page and if you are looking for stats you can find them on thebaseballcube.com

LOL Whenever I hear knuckleballer I automatically think of Charlie Hough...but for some reason I hadn't made the Charlie H. connection between him and Haeger until your post. Why is so Charlie Hough so humorous to me?

Oh Charlie Hough...he was a mainstay on all my Nintendo and Sega Genesis baseball rosters... I used to sign him with the White Sox. I'm sure if he was on MVP baseball, he would be the guy who never retires. :D:
