It's also the most of his career, isn't it???

Yeah, Takatsu had 19 last year

But 20 saves this early is great, hopefully he can keep up the good work through the rest of the season.

if shingo comes up big in the second half than they might have 2 guys with 20 saves. Not sure if it's ever been done before. Oh yeah and congrats to Chad Hermanson.

There is no way Shingo gets 20 saves with a healthy Hermanson around.

Keith Foulke? Great... another Foulke. Lets see if he can get to 40!

Hermanson and, to an equal extent, Politte are money.

I like not having to sweat everytime we bring our pen in the 8th and 9th..... for the most part.

It's even more of an accomplishment when you consider that he only had 3 saves in April.

Why? Shingo may get a chance to close every once in a while but shouldn't Dustin get the bulk of the opprotunities if he keeps pitching like the way he has? IMO, having quality setup men is almost important as having a quality closer. Shingo would have to do a lot if he wants to close again.

IMO, having quality setup men is almost important as having a quality closer. Shingo would have to do a lot if he wants to close again.he has 8 of 9 saves. Maybe not 20 but I wouldn't be shocked if he got 15 or something like that. I like Hermy's intro song better though. Back In Black Kicks ASS!

Congrats,Dustin. But do me a favor;if your knee is hurting that badly,
tell Ozzie.Don't lie.Tell the truth.Pitching through pain is something
all pitchers do at sometime in their careers, but if it's that bad,
say "OW!" and back off for a few days.

I say this because Keith Foulke has a bad knee, and should be on the
DL shortly. He could have had an operation in the offseason to correct
the problem,but didn't.

Maybe Shingo can get 20 wins with his long relief appearances in junk time.

He's been pretty good lately. Hopefully he continues, and can continue to be effective in long relief appearances.
