Orlando Hernandez (shoulder) will make a rehab start for Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
Hernandez, who threw a bullpen session yesterday, could come off the disabled list on July 18.

That is good to hear. Hopefully El Duque out himself back in our good graces since we have all of these near-panic 'We Need A Starter' threads. I will enjoy seeing him pitch in the playoffs. As for Marte, I think we will come back and pitch well. You can always use another effective reliever.

Is it safe to have El Duque make a rehab start already? He hasn't even thrown a simulated game yet?

Last I heard, he played long toss with Ross Gload and threw the ball 12 times. Mike Murphy proclaimed it would thrust the Sox into the Pennant race.

The Sunday start is against the Bats in Louisville.

That's not too bad of a drive.

if El Duque can come back strong that will give the Sox the 4 studs


that they will need for the playoffs no team in the AL can match it

I wonder if the Tribune will print a map and directions on how to get to the stadium, along with the phone number of the ticket office.

The quicker we can get Walker out of the bullpen the better. I wish that guy the best, but he just flat out can't get it done.
