I wonder if he will still play in the All-Star game.

...he is batting close to .400, so it definitely warrants all sorts of coverage.

wonder what the article will say, "Lee's injury a blessing for the cubs, Find out why the cubs will win it all on page 5"

I tell ya this much I would much rather have a Derek Lee Watch than a Kerry Wood watch because at least Lee has earned it.

I never wish injury on a player, but if Lee can't play in the AS Game, I hope this enables Cliff Floyd to make the team. He deserved to go as much as anyone, and wasn't picked because of those idiots who voted for Carlos Beltran.

He's on DL:

"Johnson should be considered out until after the All-Star break now. He has been one of 2005's biggest breakout players, so stash him away on your reserves or DL for now. (Updated 07/03/2005). "

I would normally agree with you about Beltran, but he had such an awesome second half last season, that I can accept his nomination to the All-Star game this year. But I definetly agree that Cliff Floyd should be there. The biggest snub by far this season.

Hopefully Podsednik doesn't become #2...

There was one year when Sosa couldn't play for the Cubs the Sunday before the break but played in the ASG.

He said he didn't want to disappoint the fans.

If Lee isn't able to play in the all-star game they will probably add Carlos Delgado, since they would only have one first baseman. Cesar Izturis also went on the DL today, Omar Vizquel would probably be added.

Injury to Lee was described in Tribune today as "irritated shoulder." I looked at several medical websites and couldn't find "irritated shoulder." I hope it's not his knee.

Today's Trib says Lee might miss one game and that he plans on participating in the All-Star game.

I think last year Manny Ramirez sat out the week before and the week after, but played in the ASG.

What you think that you have some supreme exectutive power just because some bloody tart threw a sword at yah? Do yah?

If I were to walk around, proclaiming to wield supreme executive power just because some moistened bink lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away! 'Elp, 'elp! I'm being repressed!

You saw him repressing me, you saw that didn't you.

In as much as I dislike the unlovable losers, I think D Lee is OK. He seems quiet and humble a bit like Harold was. So I feel bad for him, not the fans
