maurice, do you have any idea as to Broadway's schedule? I know they are piggybacking him 5.0IP, but if he continues to be successful, will they increase his innings per start? In addition, if he has a string of, say, 5 straight great starts, will they promote him to AA?

They're still stretching Broadway out, but 5 IP is pretty good this early. I doubt they're in any hurry to push him up to AA. W-S is pretty high for a pro debut. Most of the other college picks start in Great Falls.

Valido is not as fast as those numbers would indicate, but he just has that "thing"... He has a great feel for the game and good intelligence that leads to getting good jumps, running at the right times, how to read pitchers/situations...

I never would have guessed he'd steal 30+ bags at any level, though. Great to see.

Based on that scouting report, I'm hungry for more info if you are willing to share it and have the time to do so.

What is your realistic assessment of his chances to be a quality MLB shortstop, barring injury? If he does make it, what's a realistic of what he might be able to bring to the Sox? Where might he eventually fit in a lineup? Might he be a 30 steals kind of guy? What kind of OBP and batting average might you predict? How's his range at shortstop? His arm? Do you see him changing positions at all?
