But if we keep using color, it would become just as annoying as rotating smilies, right JM?

:) :) :)

He was originally slated to be the Orioles closer this year, but he sucked.

He sucks. He doesn't throw hard, his fastball peaks in the upper 80s and he doesn't have good control either, he's walked 34 batters in 67 major league innings. His best pitch is a slider.

Baltimore thought he could be a closer because in 2000 he came up and in 25 games had 13 saves and a 2.39 ERA. But he gave up 45 baserunners in 26.1 innings and only struck out 17 batters. Predictably he was a disaster this year with a 7.30 ERA.

He's still just 25 but it's not like there's any reason to think he'll turn into a good pitcher.

We're not signing any free agents this offseason...unless they're cheap and suck.

I hope Ryan likes Charlotte. Its a shame we have to find space on the 40 man roster for this guy.

Heh, yeah, if the Orioles don't want you you should probably take up bowling or something.

The only thing that would make me happy about this move would be if they used him as part of a trade instead of a bag of balls. What a waste!
