The Long Island Ducks, members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, today announced they have released relief pitcher John Rocker after the lefty reliever decided to take a step back from baseball.
In 23 appearances with Long Island, Rocker went 0-2 with a 6.50 ERA. The former Atlanta Brave allowed 18 hits and 28 walks while striking out 19 batters in 18 innings of work.
