Jon Garland is the first pitcher in the big leagues to get 13 wins. It is the first time in his career he's gotten 13 wins - and it's July 2. And he's now 2-0 IN OAKLAND!!! Congratulations big Jon. Cue up JonGarland20Rules with the Air Supply pic...

The third leave we gave him was the charm. Awesome job in that inning where he loaded em up with nobody out. To get out of that with only 1 run was outstanding. That's the difference between Judy and BIG JON! :redneck

ALL THE TIME! He looks like the nerdy, awkward guy in middle school that nobody really likes but they don't pick on because he's a few inches and 20 pounds heavier than they are. Someone's gotta teach him to pull that hat down.

I think it is because he does not want to go bald. I mean look at him! What a dreamboat!

I'm glad he isn't on the cubs or we wouldn't here the end of how good he is.

One more win and Garland will already tie the 14 win standard of excellence mark set by the great Kerry (Natalie) Wood. Garland is smoking and yet he might only be our third best starter over the last month. Unreal this team! :supernana:

I was thinking Myron Noodleman, but maybe that's because I saw him at a Cougars game last night.

Now he can't be like some one-year wonders and just falter the second half of the season. Obviously I don't expect him to keep up this blazing pace of wins, but he's gotta keep up the strong pitching and getting ahead of hitters. JG, keep on attacking the hitters, you have better stuff then them and can get them out anytime.

BTW, he should keep on working quick ballgames too, I think Contreras should learn from him.

How many more starts until the A-SB? Jon's got a chance to rack up a whole lotta wins this year. I don't think the ASG divides the season in half exactly, but multiply 13-3 by 2 and you got 26-6....:o:

KNOCK ON WOOD, I think Jon has locked up 20 wins.
