well I'm sure everyone knows this, even tho we lost the last two games in that series we still outscored the cubs in that series 14-7

I'd rather have the Cubs outscore us 14-7 for the series as long as we took two of three.

The whole premise of this post is wrong. I would much rather win a bunch of close games and lose one or two blowouts than the other way around. Look at the Washington Nationals' record - and their run differential.
