Its a GONER!!

He has left the building!

you can hang a star on that one

Swing and a long one!

name your favorite Rooney or Farmer lines. I figured since we had a whole thread about Hawk, we should give the radio guys some credit.

My favorite is Rooney's, "That's a White Sox winner!"

I am always a fan of the mention of where they will be taking mass and Rooney's discription of players with trousers bloused at the knee

He was out from here to ...any city far away from their location is pretty comical, too.

Yesterday was, he would have been out from here to Cleveland.

Rooney's impersonation of Bob Uecker is hilarious.

"He was trying to leave earth with that swing." (after a swing and a miss)
"That wouldn't have been a home run in a Coke bottle." (on a popup to an infielder)
And, finally, the call that even got my wife cracking up,
<in a perfectly measured monotone>
"Here's a swing and a long one down the right field line.
If it's fair it's a home run.
It's fair.
And it's a home run."

"Pitchers will tend to do that from time to time"
or when Farmer says to the effect... does Konerko or whoever he is talking about.

Ed always says "I'll say this" when talking about something, which is often. Or there is the wonderful "The Sox are in the home whites with black pinstripes with black caps and white lettering and black numbers. The jock straps were manufactured by Bike and I believe they used Mountain Fresh Snuggle on the socks today."
