Royals up 1-0 in the top of the 1st and threatening to score more.

I'm getting ready to leave for work, and it's already 2-0, KC. But it is the Royals, and it's only the first.

Twinks can do to Sox what Sox did to them last week. They could sweep their midweek series against the Royals before Sox play their second game against Detroit.

Or they could lose and we could pick up a full game today.

I like that option better. Yeah, let's go with that.

David DeJesus has killed Radke today. 3 for 3, 1R, 1RBI.

3-0 Royals

LOL. I was just about to post the same thing. Looks like they are threatening for more in the fourth, too.

Radke has allowed seven hits.

If that happened, what would all the people who are bitching about how they've lost patience with B-Mac and demanding ridiculous trades for Zito and Schmidt do?

I don't want to waste a thread on it, but the Indians, just a game back of the Twins and looking for a sweep of the defending WS champs, are scoreless in the bottom of the fourth at Boston.

I don't know about you guys, but I've been freaking out this last week. I mean we cannot get past the 10 games up mark. If we are serious about making a run this year, we need to get better fast.

Here's some perspective for all the Contreras haters who were complaining about his salary over the weekend: The Twins are relying on Radke to be their No. 2 guy and paying him 9MM. So far this season he hasn't been as good as Contreras.

I saw that too. If the Royals and Indians win today there will be a tie for 2nd place. Looks like we'll have to start doing Indians vs. whoever gameday threads instead...

You guys ! Don't you know you're jinxing/cursing the Royals by creating this thread ?! That's it. Now I'm going to have to go outside, blow up a baseball, and walk a goat around the parking lot to break it. When will you guys ever learn ?

The Indians trail the Red Sox 1-0. I guess we'll see if the Twins game thread jinx works the same way for the Indians.

Victor Martinez went yard to put the Indians up 2-1 in the 6th and they're threating to add more with runners on 1st and 3rd and one out.

Ruh-Roh. Bags juiced, nobody out on a H-HBP-H. Does the curse come back and slap us in the face again?

However, the Bosox just tied it up at 2 v. the Tribe.

Standing ovation to D.J. Carrasco who limited the Twinkies to one earned run in 6 2/3 innings of work.

3-1 Royals in the eighth.

(phew)

They got 2 outs, then Jimmy Gobble walks Luis Rodriguez and after going 3-2 on Mauer, gets him to fly out. 3-1 KC going to the 8th.

This ain't over by a longshot. Not with that Royal 'pen.

The Red Sox have taken command, leading 5-2 in the seventh. However, as we saw last night, no lead is safe with the great Keith Foulke as the team's closer.

They have been dominant, yes, but their bullpen SUCKS!!

The secret is to get to their starters early, and pray to God you
can keep Ortiz,Ramirez,Mueller,Bellhorn or Millar in the ball yard.

There will be some runs scored when both "Sox" play in July
and August,I guarantee it.I only ask that Beuhrle doesn't give
up a slam to Manny in the second inning again. :cower:
