about the Cubs, what would it be? Mine would have to be, I liked their old pinstriped blue unis from the early 80's. Maybe it's just because I was little and all but I liked them.

This could turn ugly, it may end up being amusing...

They've helped to make the distinction of Good and Evil a little clearer.

Well, let's see. Theres...no, no, I don't like that at all. Hmmm. Oh, I know...oh, wait, that's not the Cubs.

Nope, sorry. Can't think of a thing.

I sometimes wish we had their fanbase. Then I think to myself, once the "casual" or "bandwagon" fan is removed from the equation, the fanbase is about equal. Since that's the case, I admire nothing about that organization. They are superior to the Sox in NO way. The Cubs should be admiring 50-24 right now.

Like the sunrise and the tides, the Cubs' annual elimination is always just a matter of time.

That they once hired Lee Elia as their manager, who called out their fans like no one else before or since.

One positive thing: I liked Mark Grace when he played for them... gritty ballplayer and a tough out.

One other thing, just for making me think about ANYTHING I like about the cubs:

Ive grown to absolutely hate that organization, its "fans", and the Media that love them no matter what. However, I did like Lou Boudreau as an announcer. He also had a partner in the booth, I cant remember the name,
but man, those were the last 2 professional, legendary announcers that team ever had. (I know, Brickhouse but he wasnt a favorite of mine).

I wouldn't know who Kerry Wood is. Wait, that's a bad thing. I can't thing of a darned one. I hate the cubs and everything associated with them. I like when they loose.

not to be sarcastic, but I DO like the fact that theyre a LOSING organization
and Lose games with frequency.

There's a great Japanese restaurant near the pit . . . erh, stadium . . . erh, field where they play.

And trust me, if there's one thing I know, it's good Japanese food. Try Matsuya 3469 N. Clark St (773) 248-2677.

For the price, the best Japanese food in town.

Matsuya... YUM!

It's been a few years, but most of their combo platters are around $15 IIRC. That's teriyaki, tempura and a third dish. I always like to add a few sushi pieces which increases the bill, but is totally worth it...

Edit: Oh yeah... something good about the flubbies... um... some of my best friends are flubs fans... in fact, most of my best friends are flubs fans. The one I've known longest is a flubs fan because of me. Yeah, I'm surprised he still likes me too..

Okay, I'll throw in a second one...

Thats the guy. One of them I remember made an appearance in the booth,
and were being interviewed by the tv schmucks. I think it was lloyd, he was very old, but the voice was still the same. One of the only classy moves Ive seen, was they let him call an inning, all by himself in the booth. Thought
it was pretty cool.

They gave me the greatest moment of joy in my sports life
when they blew a 3-0 lead in the 6th game of the 2003 NLCS
by imploding in the top of the 8th inning
and giving up an 8 spot to the Marlins.

THE GREATEST CHOKE IN CHICAGO SPORTS HISTORY THUS FAR!!

Derek Lee and Greg Maddux. I have respect for both of those players. The joy of watching game 6 and seeing them choke. Also watching Latoya Hawkins blow saves.

I think it was someone else Hangar. I'm pretty sure Vince & Lou are both dead. Lou died a while ago, and Vince Lloyd just died within the last couple of years.

The dumbest thread ever posted, brain dead from the get go, where do things go after they fall to "whats the score" ?
