Charlotte lost 4-3. Adkins had a rare strong start, but Walker blew it and got the L. Anderson 2-5, RBI, .283.

B'ham won 5-2. Tracey was his usual wild-but-effective self (6.1 IP, 2 R, 5 H, 5 BB, 2 K, WP, PO). Meaux and Jenks finished the job. Red-hot Chris Young homered twice and raised his AVE to .247. Lopez got his 1st HR since the demotion; he's hitting .273. Rogo 3-5, R, .317. Sweeney 2-4, 2B, R, .275. Fields 1-3, .226.

W-S won 6-2. First-rounder Lance Broadway with a nice start (5 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 3 K) and his 1st pro win. Flores and Castro combined for 4 innings of shutout relief. Myers homered again. He's batting .278 and seems to be enjoying all the playing time he's received since Amador was moved to CF. Valido 2-2, R, 2 SB, .328; he's been on fire since he returned. Collaro doubled, scored, and knocked in 2; he's hitting .282. Schnurstein singled and drove in a run; he's batting .274.

Kanny lost 8-1. Egbert got hit hard and took the L, but still managed to pickoff yet another baserunner. The pen didn't give up anything. Brice pitched a scoreless inning. The top 3 hiters combined to walk 5 times, but none were plated. Cook 1-3, 2 BB, .287. McCarthy 3-4, 2B, RBI, .254. Hernandez was back behind the plate and went 1-3, .222.
