Went to the Friday and Saturday Cub games at the Cell. These are the first games I've attended since joining WSI. I parked for free both days, ate at Pancho Pistolas, Cobblestones, and Giordano's, and dropped $120.00 at Grandstand, all due to recommendations I received from WSI members. Except for the Cub win on Saturday, it was the best trip I've ever had to the park. If any of these ideas came from you, thank you. You know who you are.

Glad to hear you had a good time. It's easy to spend $$ at Grandstand. I wish I could buy the whole store.

Just curious, where did you park for free?

First day: Just west of Halsted

Second day: East of Dan Ryan, by IIT

Where the heck is a Giordano's near the ballpark?. I have eaten at Connie's many times and loved that.

Not near the ballpark. There was one near where we stayed.

Woo IIT! That is where I park when I am not in school. Otherwise, I walk from my dorm!

Aw man...I love that lot but don't give it away my friend. If too many people start parking there I promise it won't be free anymore, lol.

I dropped $40 at Granstands. Although that 1919 jersey is still calling my name. But at $350 it causes a battle in my mind:

You just upgraded to a full season ticket plan, you can't afford it!

Can you still watch the fireworks on Saturday night home games from the front lawn of North Hall? We used to when we couldn't afford to go to a game.

WillowbrookAt the $65 a night Red Roof? That's where I'm staying when I come in for a Sox game in a couple of weeks. I-55 and Rte 83, so it's a pretty short run in to the game.

PM me closer to the date and we can figure out a place and time. I know at least one other WSIer that would be more than happy to come out.
